My brother received and unfair ticket, but it is his word against the police. What rights does he have against this? He said a truck was speeding passing him, but the cop pulled my brother over. My brother drives a 93 camaro Z28 and he feels he was pulled over because of his car. He told me that he was going 45 in a 45 and he has a radar detector and swears that the cop was not radaring. The cop said he was going 56mph. My brother asked to see the radar gun but the cop refused stating that he had loaded weapons in his cruiser. What can he do to fight this? and would deffered judification help him? Thank you for your time.

Your brother can hire a lawyer to take this to trial.

Your brother can ask for a court date, and take this to trial by himself.

Your brother can alone, or through a lawyer, plead guilty or no contest, and request deferred disposition. Under deferred, he pays fines, gets no violations for a specified period, and then the ticket is dismissed.
