Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Warrant Judification heavy fine
Received ticket for Failure to maintan financial responsibility in RV. Had 10 days to show proof. Though RV was insured, ticket was misplaced and forgotten. Address on ticket was old address, phone number current. 4 months later ticket found. Faxed letter to judge to explain what happened, along with proof of insurance and copy of citation. Judge says to pay full fine, plus court cost, plus warrant cost; then, will grant deferred judification for 6 months. Totalling over $600. What other options are available?
