If you have a felony warrant in any state, chances are you will be taken into custody if you go to DPS to get a license.
Contact DPS by telephone to see if you would be taken into custody if the warrant is on a misdemeanor.
Why don't you just hire a lawyer in New Mexico & get that matter settled rather than running around looking over your back all the time?
