Legal Question in Veterans Law in Texas
I filed for a disability claim in 1988 after I was discharged. In 2009 I refiled on the original claim and it was approved but only effective since Jan 2010. The VA got my gender all wrong and identified me as male when I am in fact a female. They claim I never showed up for an appointment but I never received the notice. Can someone help me get benefits dating back to 1988 since they more than likely mailed it to a MAN with my name?

There may be a way I can help you; but, I would need to know more information. My office offers initial telephone consultations, free of charge. If we can agree upon a time, I'd be happy to initiate the call in order to save you long-distance charges.
Let me know.
