Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

22 year nephew passed away

My nephew passed away at the age

of 22. he left behind no will. what is

our first step and how do we proceed

to take care of his affairs? Is a lawyer

necessary and how will this affect

probate or do we even have to go

that route. He really had no assets

other than his pick up truck that he

was paying on? and possible 1 credit

card. Are his parents responsible for

his debts now? Please advise.

Re: 22 year nephew passed away

No. Notify creditors of the death and give the truck back to that creditor if no one wants it. Sorry for your loss.
