Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
I am 82 years old I have a will that is about 10 years old I left everything to my daughter and she has my will. I since have a friend that has helped me with everything. Drs apt, shopping, cooking, she's been my life line. My daughter is well provided for by her mother and stepfather. I would like to leave everything to my fried, who will appreciate my gifts. I've looked into a quickclaim for my mobile home, but wondered if this will will still be in force. which would be best and the less expensive. I am on limited income.

Redo your will. Also, talk to the daughter, too. In many cases, where a caregiver is the new 100% recipient of the estate assets, there is a presumption that the caregiver took advantage. You might avoid that by communicating your intent with the daughter ahead of time, and requesting the daughter to shred the prior will (after you've made a new one.)
