Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My adopted dad just died. His spouse is my biological mother. They have been seperated for 3 years but still legally married. All his possessions including a trailer is on his brother's land. His brother is refusing to give my mom any of the stuff on the property because my dad owed him back owed taxes. What can my mom do without hiring a lawyer? She can't afford one

The local bar association near where you live normally has a list of lawyers who will assist people for free or for a discounted fee. You should start there, because this is going to be solved without legal assistance.
