Re: Is adopted son entidled to biological father's money

As a general rule, an adopted child is entitled to inherit from its natural parents, as well as from its adoptive parents. So long as it is clear, or you can prove, that the man is really your son's biological father, then your son should inherit from the biological father. The percentage depends on whether the man had any other children. If none, you son is probably entitled to all of the money, less any debts the man owed upon his death. You may need to open up an administration in order for your son to get what he is entitled to. You should consult with an attorney immediately, especially if other relatives of the biological father are claiming the money. If the money you're talking about is the result of a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit, this answer may change. Please consult as soon as possible with an attorney about your specific facts.
