Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My aunt married 8 years ago. Her husband died several weeks ago, leaving the home he owned before the marriage to his daughter, instructing it to be sold upon his death. Does my aunt have any rights to continue living in the house as that is her homestead? We are in Texas.

Yes. As the surviving spouse your aunt has a life estate in the house. This means she can live there until she dies.
