beneficiaries vs will instructions

Does being named as beneficiary on investments supercede will instructions concerning those investments?

As a general rule, investments pass by contract to the named beneficiary and pass outside the estate set through the will. However, without competent counsel reviewing both the document naming a beneficiary and the will itself, your specific question cannot be answered.
