Beneficiaries vs. Wills
My father was in a bitter divorce with his 2nd wife. It was settled and paid under the terms of the court. IF my father forgot to change over some of his beneficiaries on his life insurance or retirement accounts, who would have the rights to them?

If the ex is the named beneficiary, and your father hasn't changed that, then the alternate beneficiary would take, so long as the institution is made aware of the divorce.
