Beneficiary

If I am the beneficiary of banking accounts of a friend of mine acan her family make me give them that money?

I assume that your friend is dead and that the account was set under your friend's name and your name as joint tenants with right of survivorship. If that is the situation, you should be able to collect the account directly from the bank upon a proper showing of death.

If it was some other type of account in which you are reflected as beneficiary (such as an IRA account), you should be able to collect it directly from the bank.

If you are claiming the account under a will, then most likely it will be subject to administration of the estate and payment of debts; and, that after completion of administration, you should be entitled to receive what is left of the accounts.

Probably not. But it depends upon what you mean by "beneficiary of a bank account".
