Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Beneficiary change
If you are married and you change the beneficiary for your bank account to someone other than your spouse without their knowledge (because you are planning divorce), then you die in a auto accident, is your new beneficiary legally entitled to any of the funds in the account?

Re: Beneficiary change
Most bank accounts don't have beneficiaries, but if it is a separate property account, you can leave it to whoever you want. It if is a community property account, it's not that easy. You should talk to a good family law attorney before you do anything.
