Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My brother recently passed away. How do I transfer the remaining balance of his home mortgage over to me (sister) so that I can finish paying it? He never had a financial power of attorney, he left no will, he had no spouse, he had no children. Only surviving relatives are 2 sisters, and our mother and father.

You need to hire an probate attorney to administer his estate. Make sure to notify the attorney of the mortgage debt.
