Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

California Probate

After lengthly illness, My mother died in Oct 2002 and my father Nov 2006.

I live in Texas and my Sister in California was controlling finances. I paid solely for both cremations, but can't get any information from my sister re anything residing in the estate. In Dec 2007, she sold a mobile home in which my parents resided when they were well. My sister won't tell me what she sold the coach for. As near as I can find out, no Probate was filed. I would like to know what recourse I have in this matter.

Re: California Probate

You can open up probate or an heirship proceeding in the county of residence for your father. Evidence will be presented and your sister will be obligated to provide an accounting and provide you your share of the estate if there is one.
