Name changing in regards to power of attorney

I recently got married and my name is changing, but i am my grandmothers power of attorney and look after all her finances, what will i have to do to still be recognized as her guardian.

Be prepared to show the basis of the name-change; that you are still the person named in her power of attorney.

You're talking apples and oranges. One is not dependent on or a precurser of the other. A POA allowes you to handle your grandmother's affairs and with a POA a guardianship is not necessary. To obtain guardianship, you will need to hire an attorney who will petition the court and have you appointed as guardian, which the court may or may not do depending on whether the court does not think you are capable of managing her affairs.
