Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My children have a trust fund from their grandfather's estate, my exbrother-in-law is the executor of the estate per my exfather-in-law's will. I have asked my exbrother-in-law for copies of all the trust fund details, i.e. how much money will my children inherit from the trust amd he has not complied. My ex-father-in-law named me as the contingency beneficiary for my children's trust. My children are 8 and 14, I want to be sure they were properly cared for within the trust.

Brother in law has an obligation to provide an accounting after a written request. He has fiduciary duties. If he is not acting properly, you can hire an attorney to open a case in probate court to ask to be appointed as trustee.
