Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Common Law Marriages & Probate

My boyfriend & I visited TX 2 yrs ago for 4 days & then both returned to & continued to reside in a home that we jointly own in another state. While we were visiting TX he introduced me as his wife to someone while we were there. He died 2 months ago & I want to know if we would be legally considered married by common law in the state of TX because he introduced me as his wife. Neither one of us held residency in TX at any time. I am interested in gaining inheritence to his estate as it is a considerable amount.
