Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Credit card debts of spouse in Community Property State
My husband and I have accumulated credit card debt on cards that were issued in my name due to his poor credit when we married. He used the cards with my permission and signed for goods and services, without ever being an authorized user. We paid for his stepdad's funeral expenses with one of my cards. I included his income in total household income for increases in the credit line. For estate purposes, does he owe half of this debt should he predecease me?

Yes, but... If his estate can't cover his portion, they'll look to you for the entire balance.
