Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My dad died in 1993.

Found out about 5 years ago he had some stock.

I now need to get the stock transferred into my name.

I just order the death certificate from the state.

There was no will.

What do I need to do to have his stock transferred into my name?

Depending on the value of the stock, you may be able to get it by executing a small estate affidavit. Most probate attorneys can do this for a few hundred dollars.
