Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My dad's will

I have been estranged from my dad for 3 years and just found out he died 3 months ago. His will has already been filed, read, and gone through the court. If I was named in the will, even if I were disinherited, shouldn't the court have contacted me?

Re: My dad's will

there would be no reason to contact you unless you were named as a beneficiary in the will.

No. However, you can view the will at the probate court clerk's office. It is now a public record.
