my dead parents estate.

If I sign my name appointing someone to be the executor of my parents estate what does that exactly mean?

What you are asking does not make sense. An executor is appointed in the decedent's will. If there is no executor, then the court will appoint an administrator. As with anything, be careful of what you sign and, if you don't understand it, have it reviewed by an attorney.

I am not sure that I understand your question. Did someone request that you decline to serve as executor? If thats the case then you are admitting that you will not serve as executor. You cant appoint someone to act as anothers executor.
