death in family
my mom died, all she had was a paid for house in her name, no will. is there any way we can just get the house in our name (children) and sell it without going through probate, etc? she had nothing but the house.

Yes, assuming that there are no debts and that everyone is in agreement how to proceed. There are a number of options. Is there any other property such as a bank account or car?
