Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Deceased Estate
My mother-in-law drowned from Hurricane Ike. Her oldest son is trying to obtain the money from her bank account and life insurance company on the sly. What can we do to make sure that everything is handled respectfully and properly?

Re: Deceased Estate
You haven't given a lot of detail like is his name on the bank account or is he listed a the sole beneficiary on the insurance policy. Talking to a good probate attorney sounds like your best bet.

Re: Deceased Estate
You do need an attorney on this one. If funds are not available, you may qualify for low cost or free legal services. Check with the local bar association. My condolences on your loss.
