Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Deceased executor

land held in trust by executor is to revert at death. Executor (stepmother) disappeared then died. Oil lease royalties involved. Died in 1980s. Statute of limitations, what to do? Think person not in trust ''given'' this land.

Re: Deceased executor

It depends on what has happened on title. There shouldn't be a statute of limitations issue, however other things may come into play. For example, was the property foreclosed due to unpaid taxes? Someone should do a title search to see what happened on the chain of title, and then your question can be answered.

Depending upon the condition of the chain of title, you could get this land and all royalties back from the oil company by a trespass to try title lawsuit. Contact me by email if you want my assistance in this matter.
