Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My deceased husband left two lots to me , but originally it was in his name and his roofing partner. They are both deceased, so I want to know if I alone inherit the land, also my husband and I have been paying the taxes for some years now, and the taxes are in his name only.

How did he leave the lots to you? Did he have a will? How is it titled to his partner? Who are his partner's heirs? Did he have a business with that partner?
If you can't tell, there's not enough information here for me to tell you what to do.

Has the partner been out of the picture for over 10 years? If so, it is possible that hour husband may have acquired his interest under the doctrine of adverse possession.
