My EX died intestate while I took care of her for 24 years after divorce, lived separate from my house but was blind from one eye and later days hip joint disable her for last 10 years. I used and drove her car and took her evrywhere. She was dependant on me like a child and I never backed out due to her diabilities. She repeatedly said I will leave everything for you and only you and nothing for my wife, She loved me like God because I was always there my current wife made my life living hell due to jealousy that why I was helping her but I preferred to perform my duty towards ex-wife to take are her due to disability. She died intestate in Texas recently without any relatives alive leaving behind her house and lots of money in the banks and various investments. The money she had also half was my own money which I left with her to invest in stcks etc hoping I will take back whenever I needed. All her friends and my relatives know this whole story. She used to tell them how great person I was and how lucky she was and she would leave everything for me but now after death I cant find will and I have the key of her house whch I repaired and maintained. I also paid for her funeral from my own pocket hoping I will recover. But I dont

You really need an attorney to help you handle this. You may want to petition to become administrator. In any event, you will probably want to file claims to recoup the funeral and other expenses which you have paid, and you may be able to get your money back if you can prove it's yours.

This is likely to be a difficult case, but it sounds like you have a legal basis to recover some money from her estate.
