Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

dissolving a trust.

When my brother died he left his estate to my 2 minor sons with me as the trustee. My sons are now adults and we would like to know what we need to do, specifically about a piece of property in the trust.

Re: dissolving a trust.

You need to review the terms of the trust to determine when the trust ends. Assuming the trust has ended, and assuming the trust is silent as to how to end it, you can prepare a final settlement agreement on the disposition of trust assets. This settlement agreement will control what you do with the trust property.
