Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Dropping a name on a deed of trust

I bought a house in 2005. I am the one who is responsible to pay the mortgage because my name is on the Note. But I put two names in the Deed of Trust, my name and my son's name. Now I change my mind and would like to drop my son's name from the Deed of trust. Can I do it and how? Thanks.

I think you meant to ask about dropping a name on the Warranty Deed. The Deed of Trust secures the loan. If your son's name is on the Warranty Deed, he will need to execute a Warranty Deed that deeds his interest to you. You can't do it yourself.
