Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Durable Power of Attorney

If a form from Quicken Willmaker or Power of Attorney form from an online provider is used, do I have to include the warning that the form begins with? The warning states that if you do not understand what you are signing you must consult an attorney. I do not want to indicate to the bank or other institution that this form was not prepared at an attorneys office. Are two whitnesses a good idea or not necessary? Should the P of A be recorded?

I don't believe this. You are asking an attorney for free legal advice for the completion of a form to give to your bank to indicate that it was not prepared in an attorneys office. I'm sure it will be very clear.

What does the form say? Why do you have to snooker your bank?

What's the down side if you don't do it right? How much will that cost to get it straightened out?

Think about it a little bit and spring for a couple of bucks to visit with an attorney that knows what they're doing.
