dying mans wishes and an unsigned will

I have a situation, I took care of a dear friend who ended up getting sick and passed away thinking that his will and all was taken care of the attorney prepared his will but by the time he could get it signed the gentleman, whom was my friend passed away. He hired this attorney thinking that everything was going to be taken care of and it was'nt... Why i don't know.. Please give me some advice because he didn't want his son to get any of the estate and his son is the only living child and the son and this gentleman did not have any kind of relationship..what can i do?

Without a will it's very difficult and very expensive. Hire an attorney and see if you can assemble witnesses for a contested estate.
