Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

In reference to death settlement question. I am not sure if it is was a lawsuit or insurance. I think they may have filed for both. What is the diference in the outcome. my question was if my deceased husbands sister family filed a lawsuit for their sister who was killed last year in a car wreck. She had no husband, children, or living parents. Only family is one sister, 2 brothers alive and one who was deceased 10 years ago. I am his wife and have 2 children that are over 21. How does tghe money get split up. I still carry the last name and have not remarried. There was no will for the sisters estate.

I read the first question and this one and I don't think anyone can give you the definitive answer you want without a lot more detailed information. What you are asking for is legal advice, not just an educational email. You and your adult children really need to talk with an attorney experienced in handling this type of suit.
