our friend died left everything to my husband. The friends mom has items in the garage. We keep asking her to pick them up. She says she doen't have room.At what point do we stop asking and I can get rid of the items?

Give her written notice that items will be placed on curb for pick-up on a certain date. If she fails to pick them up, after 24 hours, then have them hauled off.
