Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

executor responsibility

As executor of an estate, are all the possessions of the deceased to remain under my control until probate? If someone changes locks on secured store rooms of the deceases and enters them, are they breaking the law?

Re: executor responsibility

Just because a will names an executor, you have no such power until the will is filed for probate and then you have the rights and responsibilities..so get a lawyer and file the will for probate..
