family rights on power of attornys and wills

if a family member was disowned not legally for about 8 years and then takes advantage of a situation later when my grandfather gets altzheimers and forgets the last 8 years of knowlegde he found out and now he has put my grandparents in nurseing home and is power of attorney and didnt contact certain people in the family . can you tell me is this legall,thanks

Could be. The POA creates no obligations to family members as long as the suspect performs his duties to the delegating party.
