Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Father died -no will
My father died 2years ago with no will. he was divorced from my mother 3 months prior to death. My siblings & I have maintained his house (paid for) and paid some of his taxes but cannot afford to start probate process. His estate is small, just a home& 2 cars & bank account. do we require a lawyer? can we start probate w/o lawyer?

Re: Father died -no will
It depends on the debts of the estate and whether or not your siblings are in agreement as to what to do. What is the ultimate objective? What do you want to do with the cars and the house? Keep them? Sell them?
