Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My father died and I was wondering if his children are not listed in the will as beneficiaries, can those same children contest the will? Before he died he told all his kids they would be his heirs.

You need to have some grounds to contest the will. A few examples: (a) your father had competency issues near the time he wrote the will or (b) the will is a forgery or (c) someone exercised undue influence over your father and coerced him to write a will he didn't really want.
