Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My father is very ill and needs to be placed in a nursing home. His wife of 12 years (not my mother) doesn't want to pay for his care and insists that my 2 brothers and I are legally responsible to pay for his care. Am I legally liable for his care? Is she legally liable for his care?

You are not responsible. He may be eligible for Medicaid if there are not funds. If you have concerns about how he is being cared for at home, please call Adult Protective Services.
