my father just passed away, iwould like to know if there is a time limit in the reading of his will , my stepmother keeps putting it off.

no...reading will is rare..if probated, it must be done in 4 yrs...

You should hire a probate attorney and open probate yourself. It is possible that stepmom is procrastinating because she has something to lose - or maybe there is no will and she is afraid for you to claim your inheritance. Protect yourself.
