Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My father recently passed and i am my fathers only blood child from his second marriage. All other relatives are gone it ends with me. my fathers third wife doesn't want to pass any of my paternal grandparents things to me. My grandparents were dead before my father married her. I am their only grandchild. Do I have right to my grandparents things? Can I make a claim on theese things?
