Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Father's will not probated, mother passed away

My mother did not probate my father's will. We agreed it would stand, I was to inherit half of everything they had including family home. Executor of mother's estate has taken everything. Should I submit my father's will to probate and can I do it without an attorney, if so, what legal form do I need?

If dad passed away within 4 years ago, you can still probate it. If longer than 4 years, you can file as a muniment of title to the home.
