Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Fiduciary Designation
I am currently unmarried, but I would like to get married in the future. When executing my Will and ancillary documents, can I appoint a future spouse or ''person to whom i am married at my death'' to fiduciary positions, i.e. executor, trustee, agent for DPOA/MPOA etc? Or do I need to execute new documents if I get married appointing that person to those positions? Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Fiduciary Designation
Most documents require a real person to be appointed, not some iffy future spouse. Wills and related documents are usually relatively inexpensive. You need a set now and then, should your dreams come true, a new set in the future. Feel free to contact my office if I can be of any help to you.
