Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Financial Durable Power of Attorney

My wife has been in the hospital for 5 months now and she is too weak to sign legal documents, but is ''fully cognizant, conscious times three'' (as the hospital says when the patient knows who, where and when she is). We are building a home and I need a Financial Durable Power of Attorney to execute all the required documents. I have a completed Texas proforma done, but of course, my wife can't sign or initial it at this time. How can I get a FDPOA executed?
