How do I find out if a will has been probated in Texas?

Unfortunately, there is no global search that I know of. If you know the county where the Decedent died, had property, or had other family you might start there first. Many of the larger counties have websites that you can check.

Mr. Morris is right. There is no clearinghouse that you could use to search across the state. When a Will is offered and admitted to probate, the record relating to that matter (including the Will itself) becomes public. The county clerk of each Texas county can search their records using the decedent's name. Likewise, many of the larger counties maintain online databases. The documents in the file itself are not usually visible online, but the docket which shows the date something was filed, is.
