Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Fraud trying to get my Grandfathers will

My grandfather and I didn't talk much after my mother died. He became sick and I was too young and didn't have the money to take care of him. A friend of his took care of him and became his power of attorney. I just found out 3 days ago that he died back in October and now this friend is saying he is my grandfathers son and trying to get to his money. I need to know what information I need, and what I need to do. I don't think he ever changed his will from giving me and my brother everything, but i am not for sure. What do I do?

You'll need to see if your grandfather's estate has been entered into probate in the county where he lived. If it hasn't then you and your brother should do so and force disclosure of the will.

I'd strongly recommend hiring a lawyer, since the process is complicated and you don't want to give him time to loot the estate.
