Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My friends father-in-law is on life support and if he comes through may be facing going into a nursin home. If they have property, what can his wife do to protect herself against losing everything to a nursing home?

His wife will not lose anything to the nursing home. If he is indigent, medicaid would pay and if he is deceased, medicaid willl be paid from the estate but it will not make his wife lose her home..and one would presume all bank accounts, savings etc have been used. To get more specifics, call us
