Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My grandfather had children from two marriages, died intestate and his home is now empty and estate is ready to go through probate. There is one child still living and 6 grandchildren living. Under Texas Probate Law, can the spouse of a deceased heir inherit, or only persons who are related by birth to the testator?

Deceased heir has a share and the heirs of the deceased heir get that share..hence if no children, the spouse inherits and if children..they share
