Help!!!!!
My grandfather died and filled out a warranty deed and left it to one of my uncles but the deed is wrong it shows more property than my grandfather owned. Since 1991 my uncle has been missing my mother and her 2 other brothers have tried his last known address and put ads in the paper also contacted the Airforce to try and locate him but to no avail. So since 1991 my mother has been paying for taxes and is wanting to get the property in her name but the warranty deed is wrong and for the past several years we have been unalbe to locate my uncle we do not know if he is dead or where he could be located. So how now can we go about trying to get the title changed to my mothers name? My grandfather only owned half an acre and my father owns the other half right next to the land my grandfather owned. So for the last 16 years my parents have paid the taxes and up keep of the property , my other two uncle's do not want anything to do with the property and are willing to sign what ever paper work is need t be signed to give all rights to my mother. So what steps do we need to go through and what would be the quickest, most inexpensive way to handle this situation? Thanks!!!!

Re: Help!!!!!
I didn't get where the property is located. If it's in CO, you will need a CO lawyer. Your case is complicated to the extent that your mom will have to file suit to gain ownership of the property.. Efforts to find the lost owner will be examined by an attorney ad litem. He might just find the absentee owner. If this is important, you should find a lawyer quickly.
