Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Grandfather died without a will. What happens to land? My father is only living child but one sister did have children.

Without knowing if there are other extenuating circumstances, I can't say for sure, however, if grandfather's heirs at law were only 2 children (or heirs of those children), then dad would get half and sister's children would get the other half. An attorney can help you sort things out between the parties.
