Grandma's still with us....son took the estate!
Two years ago, Grandma became too feeble to live on her own and was moved to her daughter's house to be cared for. The son sold grandma's house and put the money in an account to give out monthly for her care. Daughter was told the cash and stock was put away safely in Grandma's name. Recently the son died and the daughter just found out that her brother had lied to her used some type of power of attorney to secretly transfer all stock and cash into his name. His widow has now inherited everything. Grandma is still alive and want's to know where her stock is. What legal recourse does daughter have to force her sister-in-law to return the stock and cash to grandma? Where should our family turn for help?

Get a lawyer! The power of attorney didn't allow for self-dealing. Sonny had a fiduciary duty to grandma, and breached that duty. His wife can't keep those ill-gotten gains.
